Hi, This is your friendly anti spam service with another update. As you might recall, in our last announcement we requested your support in the form of more public name servers. The response has been overwhelming, and we now have a lot more horsepower answering queries. Thanks guys, we really appreciate it. Most of the new name servers are located in the US and in Europe, which leaves us pretty much without any Australian/Asian name servers. So, again, if you are in a position to offer name services to us in that part of the world, please drop us a line at secondaries[at]ordb.org. On a related note, we are still interested in hearing from you if you experience performance issues related to queries against the relays.ORDB.org zone. As has become tradition, most of the people that constitute ORDB.org will be meeting up at some point in the near future to work on the database. The main areas of focus will be: internal documentation and translations. Finally, there has been some discussion internally as to whether we should start work on an open proxy list. Integrating an open proxy detector into our current distributed setup is not entirely trivial, but should be doable. However, before we start throwing working hours at it, we would like your opinion on the matter. Statements are welcome at http://ordb.org/contact (select "something else" in the drop-down). That's pretty much it. Have a nice day. PS. As always, we welcome donations at http://ordb.org/donate/ -- You are receiving this mail because you have subscribed to the ordb newsletter.
