Please excuse me, but what world do you live in? Since day one email delivery 
has been best effort and not guaranteed, even on (some) RBBS systems running on 
the likes of CP/M on 8080s before ARPANET and all that fuzz.

Perhaps cooling off, despite being on a splendid roll there, would let your mind 
wander enough to better real solutions to your problems. (Which probably include 
me. But, I just could not permit that whopper to float by without comment.)
