    I'll send out an email once I'm about to launch into the step that takes
    me past the point of no return.

I was closer to the point of no return than I thought.  I'm beginning the
process now (around 9:20AM CDT).  Please don't make any modifications to the
CVS repository.  I'll send out an all clear email.
