SVN normally records your password in a file in ~/.subversion/auth/
and doesn't ask you again until you delete it.  It's possible to
disable that feature; if you've done that, then I don't know.

I suppose if you were using the ssh:// protocol instead of https://,
it would use your ssh keys to avoid the password dance.
