AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'hashopen'

Hi, I tried updating spambayes to 1.1.a6 on Mac OS X 10.6.3 (Darwin 10.3.0 kernel), I get the following error.  Can you help me?  Thanks
The python installed is python 2.6
