I asked because the various prior generations of Win were supposedly
worse and improved.  The 9x/es then the NT family then XP.

I searched on sick sockets but didn't find much, so maybe that wasn't a
good or useful or communicative term.  I'll have to research a little to
find out what I meant when I said sick sockets.
