| Regarding the power source:

| 12 volt lead acid with suitable amp hours attached to small solar cell to
| apply a trickle charge.  The following are links to low cost solar

If you use a solar charger get a controller.  As to lead acid use a quality
deep cycle.  Golfcart batteries from Sams are a good bet.
