ZoneAlarm is fine and, altough nothing will be able to get into the PC 
from the outside with the router there, the software firewall will still 
alert her to something downloaded by the browser or whatever trying to 
"phone home".

I've heard good things about AVG. Nothing but bad things about Norton, 
speaking of which, you'll pretty much have to reinstall Windows in order 
to remove the traces that it has smeared all over the registry.
