There are several reasons, which I won't go into because I haven't been
there.
Mostly they are much too time consuming. Every time I go to a large forum,
especially for the first time, I search for one thing and end up with 20
windows open going into 200 different discussions, often finding
interesting things having nothing with what I searched for, and weeding
through miles of garbage, and the next thing I know it's tomorrow.
To me it's like watching a horror movie at the theater when everyone's
yelling "Don't go in the house!" ;-O
