| Truly.  Requested many times by many people, myself included.  Some
| speculation has been that the extra processing required to count 'em up
| for everyone would be excessive.  No one in a real position to know
| (i.e. Julian) has said one way or another.

You have to count/total before you can average.  Drop the average function =
fewer CPU cycles.
