first

| and high school were all about 1 mile away, we walked every day, snow or
| rain. Everyone within that distance walked (or we road our bikes in nice
| weather), not just us. Back then parents didn't baby their kids like they
do

Back then folk did not have to be very much concerned about kidnapping
either.
