No big deal, right? Ha. The bike never ran right > afterwards... Yeah, I should have gotten new pipe or at least tried to > straighten that one out, but, like, live and learn, or whatever, you know? Ok, while we are in to bike stories... After I had written off my previous bike, I had taken delivery of the brand new replacement. I had a lent another of mike bikes to a colleague of mine and we had gone out for a Sunday ride and were heading back to my place. I had just overtaken him on a long straight and after the maneuver I was checking back to see where he was. When I looked forward, the worlds biggest badger had decided to cross the road. It just sat there looking at me not going in any direction. Doing about 60 at the time, I went left, it went left, I went right, it went right, so in the end I just headed straight. The damn thing just sat there. I ended up standing up on the pedals and hit the thing square on, almost 'bunny hopped' over it, landed the other side. Bits of the air defuser form the oil cooler flying past me as I breaked and stopped the bike. Big dent in my oil cooler, but no real damage. The damn badger just growled at me, grunted and trundled off apparently no worse for the ordeal. I just sat there and considered my new up and coming laundry bill. Perks of living in the country...
