I doubt anyone picks up manure out of the pastures, unless they're exceptionally small, in which case you'd want to for hygiene reasons. The manure mostly comes from stall cleaning every day, it's amazing how fast it builds up and how much of it there is on a daily basis. A place with 15-20 horses can easily fill a spreader or two.
