Subject lines and topic drift

For the purpose of this post, it doesn't matter who wrote:

If the first person to change the topic from discussing the case of the 
mailing list operator
wondering how spamcop works to the semantics of folder/directory naming 
would be so
kind as to change the subject line, those of us who are interested in the 
first topic but
not the second would find it easier to select posts that interest us.
