| Speaking of phone spam and do not call lists.  We get calls from
businesses
| such as waterproofing basements, and when I tell them I'm on the Do Not
| Call List they explain that they are not selling anything but they are
| offereing to provide me with a free inspection.  They are really trying to
| split hairs here.  I still report them.

Invite them out for the free inspection.  Best if there is a vacant lot in
the neighborhood.

I did that with a pest control company.  took them a few months to figure
things out.
