And you can avoid this if you violate > this part of rfc822? AFAIK, RFC 2822, as well its predecessor, RFC 822, does not _require_ an SMTP server to accept email. An SMTP server which can't determine that it can't deliver email to a given email address, should not accept email to that email address. Period.
