Yup.  The config file has to be kept consistent.  I'm thinking that the 
"auto generate config file if not present" feature isn't a good one to 
have.  Better to have a "spamprobe create-config" command to explicitly 
create a config file if somebody wants one.  That way people who don't 
want one don't have to deal with issues like yours.
