I generally recommend PBL over Berkeley DB because early on some users 
had problems with Berkeley DB databases becoming corrupted and I see a 
lot of "my database is corrupted" questions in google for other projects 
as well.  Those might have all been related to a specific version of BDB 
though.

So, the short answer is yes. :-)
