That makes me wonder if either: 1. your spamprobe isn't actually compiled with libungif support, or 2. spamprobe isn't parsing the email properly so it never analyzes the image If you run "spamprobe tokenize" on that sample email do any of the terms in spamprobe's output start with Igif_? When you ran configure when building spamprobe the output of configure should mention tests for libungif and their results. They should look like this: checking gif_lib.h usability... yes checking gif_lib.h presence... yes checking for gif_lib.h... yes checking for DGifOpen in -lungif... yes Do you see those when you run configure?
