Could it be possible to have option to make cleanup and purge
commands to figure out the database size automatically? Something
like current_size*1.5 or so.

spamprobe [cleanup/purge] -a

With this I can have crontab to clean my database every week and adjust
the size of the db without human interaction. One thing less to worry
about.
