I agree with your thought, and I had run it against Mail::SPF (2.005 and 
2.006) as well as pyspf (2.0.4 and 2.0.5) before pushing it out.
I didn't run it against any other implementations, though, mostly because 
I don't trust any others as much as I trust Mail::SPF and pyspf.
