Sigh. I just remembered that I had to make a minor change to the tlslite
library for this code to work:-( I couldn't think how to get around this
last night, but now I have a good, simple and clean idea.

I'll publish a new version of the patch that can work with the standard
tlslite soon; I nearly have STARTTLS working, but some odd things are
happening!
