That's odd - I had only ever observed tmda-ofmipd dropping the
connection. Note that when I say "drop the connection", I mean that (at
one point in time) it would accept the command, then close the socket
before giving back any SMTP error code - that's a different case to the
client receiving a valid SMTP error code, then the *client* closing the
connection, which is what I would expect to happen in all cases.

What SMTP server dropped the connection for you?
