Thanks again for the help!!

In debug mode, everything is printed to stderr, which is fine with me.

Well, things work with localhost...

su vpopmail -c '/usr/local/src/tmda/bin/tmda-ofmipd -d -f
--vhome-script /home/vpopmail/bin/vpopmail-vdir.sh -A
"/usr/local/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /usr/bin/true"'
tmda-ofmipd started at Mon, 30 Oct 2006 13:37:04 +0900
        Listening on localhost.localdomain:8025
Incoming connection from: ('127.0.0.1', 36174)
Incoming connection to: ('127.0.0.1', 8025)

And I am positive that the packet is getting past my firewall. Just to
be sure, I even totally shut down my firewall for a few seconds to test
without a firewall. Still the same thing:

telnet my.host.com 8025
Trying [my.ip.address]...
telnet: connect to address [my.ip.address]: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

So, the only explanation I can think of is that for some reason,
tmda-ofmipd, at least when run as above, does not accept connections
that are not from localhost...

Is that possible?
