Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply. :-) I have actually made progress since then. The reason why my reply confirmation messages were bouncing is that although I read about the issues with "-" and "+" in sendmail, I selected "-" which won't work. In order for the reply tagged confirmation message to reach procmail for further processing, I had to change the RECIPIENT_DELIMITER to "+". By the way this is a SuSe 10.0 system. I now have tmda also filling out its proper log files, and whitelist properly. On to the next problem!! :-) I have a global configuration I am using, so I am not using per user .tmda directories. procmail is my deliver agent of choice and I haven't used procmail in about 8 years, so I am having issues remembering certain things. Like for example, to deliver mail to a given user I have setup a procmail router-config file for tmda to call in /etc/procmail-tmda-router. I set my delivery line as such in /etc/tmdarc: DELIVERY = "|/usr/bin/procmail /etc/procmail-tmda-router" My question is, at the moment here is my /etc/procmail-tmda-router, so far: # .procmailrc # routes incoming mail to appropriate mailboxes PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin MAILDIR=/var/spool/mail DEFAULT=/var/spool/mail/$USER LOGFILE=/var/log/procmail-router.log SHELL=/bin/sh Right now, procmail will not put the mail into the proper user file in /var/spool/mail, and instead puts these annoying little directories in my /var/spool/mail directory: new cur tmp Here is a cut from my procmail log file: From [email protected] Mon Nov 20 14:23:09 2006 Subject: Testing Folder: /var/spool/mail/new/1164054189.11050_0.smtp1 1547 Any suggestion would be most appreciated. Meanwhile I will continue my research.
