Well, I can think of several ways to make TMDA obsolete in our world.

Unfortunately, it would require the reconstruction of several subsystems 
that make the net go, such as DNS, SMTP and IMAP.   That isn't going to 
happen any time soon, and a smaller incremental approach to change will 
have to be taken.

I feel your pain, but I think TMDA serves some use in that it allows 
people (Administrators) to start thinking about whitelists and blacklists.

I am well aware of the DoS attacks you can perform on TMDA, but I do not 
think anyone advocates ONLY a TMDA approach to SPAM.   Firewalls, DNS 
validation go hand in hand with it.

SPAM already does this though.   Since we are talking about purposeful 
mail to do TMDA it is a minor penalty.

That is a Karma question.   It is the root of good and evil.

Too deep for this list in my opinion and definately outside the scope of 
21st century science.

Gotcha beat, at the moment we don't reject any connections, and they 
total close to half a million.

So we have a slight problem at the moment.

What enlargers are you talking about?   I need a keyboard enlarger for 
my laptop as the keys are too narrow.
