Apologies for the delayed reply; I've been away for some time.

This is the situation I gathered from reading the manual.  I am running
Postfix and thought that, in that situation, tmda-filter would run as
myself.  This does appear to be the case and I'm able to receive email
so I am pretty sure that tmda-filter is working well.

On the 27th of October 2006, my ~/.tmda was 45M in size; today it is
132M; 40M of that 45 was pending/ and 113M of the 132 is now in
pending/, which contains 10392 items.

The permissions on all the directories are 0700 and the files in pending
are 0600.  I've got the following lines in my ~/.tmda/config:

PENDING_LIFETIME = '42d'
PENDING_CLEANUP_ODDS = 0.01

When I decreased that to '30d' and forced a cleanup by changing the odds
to 1, I found that ~3,000 of my pending items were removed.  I think
this just goes to show how good TMDA is---it's saving me from about 250
spams a day!!!
