I'm not sure that would serve any purpose.

While it might prove useful to use your blacklist for unwanted mail that comes from a particular address, the spammers will be less likely to always use the same address. That means that automatically adding unconfirmed addresses to your blacklist will only serve to add a lot of bloat to your blacklist file, and fill it with addresses that might only be used one time.

That's not to say that it can't probably be done, but in my opinion, I think that step would be a waste of time.

If you happen to notice the same address trying to send you mail on a regular basis, then you could always manually add it to the blacklist. A blacklisted message would be bounced immediately rather than sitting in the pending queue for two weeks waiting to expire. But I would venture a guess that probably less than a few percent of your spam will always be coming from the same address.

I could suggest that if you keep logs of what was purged from the pending queue, then you could run a script that would parse out the e-mail addresses of the purged items, and then run them through a sort and count routine. This would result in a listing of the number of times a message came from the same address. Then you could see a listing of the ones that you could add to your blacklist. I hope that doesn't sound complicated. In all reality, it takes about one line of code to get that listing (depending on what your source of data is, and what you want the output to be).

Hi. I'm still on tmda 1.0.3 as well. I know I need to 
upgrade, and may do soon.

My question is this:

When unconfirmed mail (spam) is deleted from the pending 
folder after the default 14 days, is the sender's address 
also automatically added to the blacklist, so that any more 
mail from that address is dropped?

Is this implemented in 1.0.3 or a later version of tmda?
