If you think it's not difficult, I'm not sure why you are asking for help.  :-/

I don't think anyone considers it important enough to implement right
now, but we'd be very happy to entertain any patches you wanted to
submit for it.  We'd also be happy to give it a higher priority if the
community feels like this would be a useful feature.  If you want to
find where outgoing message headers are constructed, look in
class/deliver/Deliver.class.php.
