HTML Editor in 1.4.20

We've been using SquirrelMail for years, and now a user asked if she
could compose HTML mails. 

So I tried enabling the HTML editor, but no
matter which editor I'm enabling (FCKeditor & HTMLArea), I'm not
getting any other editor window.

Default Email Composition Format -> HTML
Only Reply In HTML When Viewing HTML Format -> no

Javascript is enabled!

Is there any particular area of the config I should be looking at?
