Original report is several months old. Please provide more information about
your setup. Developers must be able to reproduce it in order to understand
it.

In Courier-IMAP + Apache + PHP setup attachments with 8bit names can be
downloaded without timeout error. Attachment name should not affect
attachment retrieval in imap_general.php line 92. Code does not use
attachment name there.

Which IMAP server are you using? Do you use some proxy, third party
extensions in webserver or PHP? How big is that attachment? What memory
limits are set in your PHP configuration? Do you have issues with
text/richtext only or application/octet-stream attachments also show that
error?
