Hunspell does not work for spell checking

Hi,

in Fedora it's recommended to use hunspell where possible to avoid all kind of 
spell checkers being installed on the system. I've tried to replace spell 
checker in squirrelspell plugin with hunspell (I'm using php 5.3.1 and 
httpd-2.2.14).

$SQSPELL_APP = array('English' => 'ispell -a',
                     'Spanish' => 'ispell -d spanish -a');

to 

$SQSPELL_APP = array('English' => 'hunspell -a');

I've also tried to use "php_admin_value safe_mode 0" as specified in INSTALL.

With ispell / aspell everything works, but with hunspell I get only:

"""
I tried to execute 'hunspell -a', but it returned:

@(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.2.8)
"""

I've tried to use all of them in console, where they all work as expected. 
Only hunspell seems to not write anything except version message when used in 
squirrelspell. Nothing is written to ssl_error_log.

Does anyone have an idea what can be causing this?
