I don't entirely understand your explanation. Maybe a screenshot would help. Also, if you can forward the full message source, we can use that to try to test and see what's happening. Keep in mind that this may be another example of Google having a slightly non-standard IMAP implementation and if the fix is complicated, we may not be willing to implement it....
