Compatibility plugin issues

Hi,

I'm trying to use the latest change_password plugin, which apparently
requires compatibility-1.3 to operate.

I currently have compatibility-1.0 installed, along with a dozen or so
other plugins. With only compatibility-1.0, the Options section is
blank. When I upgrade to 1.3, the change_password plugin appears to
work properly, but the main left frame and much of the center frame
are empty.

How do I troubleshoot this? What further information can I provide to
debug this?

I'm not sure whether to fix the other plugins that don't work with the
1.3 version of compatibility, or try and make the change_password v4.0
plugin work with the older compatibility plugin?
