html code showing when logged in

Have spent much time looking but haven't found any reference for this
problem.

When logged in, both left and right panels are showing "garbage" html code.

Also, when testing the configuration everything seems ok, but I get the
mbstring overload error and don't know if I can ignore or what to do about
it.

There is no specific info that makes sense to me on how to get rid of the
mbsring issue.

Appreciate help.
