Archive Mail plugin 'adopted'

Hello all!


I realize I might sound old dated, but I recently took the matter of
updating the old Archive Mail plugin originally by Jimmy

Conner in my hands, and I think I am almost finished. The plugins works well
under SM 1.5.2 SVN, which I am

currently running in my school.

Some parts of the code are certainly quite obsolete (especially the
compression and format stuff, but, like

they say 'fix it if it ain't working', and as a matter of fact
it's working as it is.

I introduced a limit on th number of files that can be archived (only 500 to
avoid the plugin to consume

all or almost the server resources).

I do not certainly claim that my work is done: the plugin is not backward
comptible with "stable" 1.4.x,

but I could use some help to polish it out and finish it.

If anyone is interested, I'd love to share the new code I wrote,

and I am quit open to the idea of a renewal of the compression code, which is,
like I said,

pretty rough.
