I'm missing something, but the info when I do a make install is
You must now add the following command to your system startup script:

/usr/local/sqwebmail/libexec/sqwebmail/sqwebmaild start
- DONE

su -c "/usr/local/sqwebmail/cleancache.pl" bin
- DONE

/usr/local/sqwebmail/libexec/authlib/authdaemond start
- DONE

But this does not solve the authentication problem.

What is missing?

When you ran 'make install', you where told what to do if you experience

authentication problems with vpopmail.  Were you paying attention?
