non system passwords in sqwebmail

Hi all,

I'd like to use passwords other than my Debian sarge system passwords 
for accessing my recently installed sqwebmail:

# dpkg -l | grep webmail
ii  sqwebmail      0.44.2-1       Courier Mail Server - Webmail server

Do I need to use authuserdb to achieve this functionality?  If so, how 
do I configure it after installing the Debian package?  All the docs 
I've seen only mention the compile-time configure script, which I 
don't think I have.

Any advice or pointers to relevant documentation is appreciated.
