You know, I usually read things from start to finish.  I don't read messages 
backwards.  And I'd like to think that all normal people are like that.

So, when I open a message, and this is what I see first, I really have no 
idea what it is all about.  I don't remember the details of every one of the 
hundreds of different mail threads I read across half a dozen mailing lists.

In any case, after upgrading vpopmail you also need to recompile sqwebmail, 
since sqwebmail links to vpopmail statically.  If you're still having 
problems, because vpopmail is solely responsible for validating passwords 
you should try asking for help on the vpopmail list.
