sqwebmail and vchkpw

Hello all,

I am running the following:

RedHat 9.0
vpopmail 5.2.1 (installed and works fine)
sqwebmail 4.0.3 (installed and NOT working)
I am also running other miscellaneous qmail things (qmailadmin, clamav, spamassasin, etc)

I compiled and installed vpopmail 5.2 1, it works and is currently serving mail. I have also compiled and attempted to install sqwebmail. Here is the ./configure line i used:

./configure --without-authpwd 	\
	--without-authshadow 	\
	--without-authpam 	\
	--without-authuserdb 	\
	--with-authvchkpw 	\
	--without-authldap 	\
	--without-authdaemon 

make configure-check
make
make check
make install-strip
make install-configure

After the configure the only thing in authmodulelist is:  authvchkpw

After that I open a browser and goto http://localhost/cgi-bin/sqwebmail

I get the login screen and type my username ([email protected]) and password (yea .. right) choose a timezone, and uncheck the security box. I click Login and i get a message that says.

INVALID USER ID OR PASSWORD.

Please try again.

I know im typing the username and password in correctly. I have tried the email address and just the username for the username, I have tried changing the password, nothing works. Is there any way to look at a log somewhere to see why it is failing? I cant tell if it is even making a connection to vchkpw.

Any help is appreciated, I have been trying this for a week now and my head is getting very bruised from banging it on the wall.
