Hmm. That's not it then.

Perhaps you can post gzips of the two messages (bad and good) and I can try
installing them in a local Maildir and browsing them.

I'm just building a sqwebmail-4.0.4.20040524 with
./configure --enable-mimetypes=/usr/local/etc/apache/mime.types --disable-utf7-folder-encoding --enable-unicode --enable-dependency-tracking
