To all:

thanks for the perspectives and the background/history (Liz)
provided.  Using screen estate efficiently is a good argument.  Ralf's
example had a good point displaying strings `[Users]` and `[Claws]`
equate in length, while potentially conveying more information.

Consider the ticket closed.  It is «When in Rome, do like the Romans
do».
