View log button inactive?

Hi,

On one instance of CM, in the lower-left, there's a button with:

   Tooltip: Some error(s) happened. Click here to view log.

Clicking it, the button reacts visually; but does nothing. 
Opening/closing the logs doesn't affect the button; it just persists
until CM restarted.

Clue?
