they are two separate issue:

1)in my email of december 4 I was having the same problem as Herbert
Anton, and I was able to reproduce it on a win95 box. Unfortunately, with this
new build I can't run gdb so I can't report a useful backtrace

2) About the second issue I mentioned, I had experienced it already in the
past and I already posted to the mailing list a log of a debug build
November 29.

To clear things, I'll try to download the debug build 98 and try to see if
I can reproduce again both problems and I'll post in two separate email.
