Also watch the trailing '/' in the example. > > Aspell prefix: c:/aspell > g:\program\aspell This setting shouldn't have any effect on aspell-0.50.3 from aspell.net (I really mean this particular version), there only has to be a dummy text in the field to prevent sylpheed from crashing. FYI: There will come Aspell-installers in the near future, which will set up some registry keys, so sylpheed will then be able to detect most of those settings on its own. I am planning to do some Aspell/Sylpheed cleanups after Christmas. > > Aspell common DLL: (leave free) Aspell DLL: c:/aspell/bin/aspell-15.dll > The dictionary already comes up, but when I compose new mail my sylpheed > crashed with error 'Micosoft Visual C++ Runtime Library' Run time error! > Program g:\program\sylpheed-claws\bin\sylpheed.exe, abnormal program > termination. This most probably means that aspell\data is set up correctly (so sylpheed can present a list of dictionaries in the settings window), but aspell\dict (or the contents: .alias, .multi and .rws files) can't be found, accessed or whatever. There is a hard exit inside Aspell when it finds a dictionary definition in aspell\data (e.g. en.dat), but the dictionaries itself do not reside in aspells dict-dir (default: aspell\dict). It only prints a message to the console and kills the parent app (sylpheed). In order to see this message, start the debug version from a console instead of clicking on it (to leave the console open after sylpheed terminates).
