Multibyte charsets are not working correctly in Claws - it is possible to change user interface partially by choosing fonts for that charset (I found PMingLiU for Big5 on my box, but I am not sure where it comes from), but most text entries won't behave correctly. I have neither knowledge on this subject, nor the environment (experience with IME, correctly encoded mails, etc.), so please don't expect me to get this done (at least in the near future).
