0.8.9claws44-1
(for Win32) is available at

The encoding routines of Claws/Win32 have been updated and extended:
* Bugs in the encoding functions caused crashes or wrong displayed
  messages/headers.
* Euro symbol had wrong charset declaration.
* Windows encodings are added (yes, the menu is too big)

If you set Sylpheeds language using the LANG variable, please also
select a Windows charset, e.g.
  LANG=de_DE@Windows
instead of just
  LANG=de_DE

If you have problems with the encoding or want some more background
info, please read the notes at

Especially if you want to use the Euro symbol,
you should update to 0.8.9claws42-1.
