Hi Lars-Göran, On Mon, 24 Feb 2003 18:41:44 +0100 Lars-Göran Andersson <[email protected]> wrote: > I have used the today latest version: http://claws-w32.sourceforge.net/sylpheed/claws/sylpheed_0810claws46_d_exe.zip > And the debug dll:s from the same page. > > This is the result from the console: > [...] > d:\dev\proj\sylpheed-claws\src\main.c:769:another Sylpheed is already running. Claws/Win32 listens on TCP port 54321 to be able to receive commands from a sylpheed call (e.g. sylpheed --compose) instead of opening a second GUI. So there are two possibilities: 1. After an unclean shutdown, this socket may still be open. On NT based systems, a new login helps. Possibly you have to reboot 9x/Me. 2. There is a different application using the same port. On NT/2K/XP you can look at the output from "netstat -an" and watch for the port number 54321 to see if it is active. No idea, if this works on 9x/Me too.
