Problem with euro symbol

I didn't test it on a older version, but on claws95 I had some strange problems with the euro symbol. With the "old" DLLs I couldn't even type it, with the updated DLLs I can type the Euro again and it seems that it's encoded correctly 0xa4 but when sending a mail to myself I only get some strange characters.
