After you delete a root folder (mailbox, nntp account, etc.)
the filters are cleared (but not deleted).
After closing and restarting Claws they are visible again.

[HOME]/.sylpheed/matcherrc

It's also advisable to take a look at the other config files:
They are all plain text, so some config tasks are easier to
achive with an editor than using the GUI.
